CD
Receiving your course material on CD-ROM is our most popular method (this gives students portability - some even take their CD’s with them on holidays!). The course material may also be copied and saved to a USB stick, as well as downloading, printing and binding the lessons into a folder for you to organise. CD’s are also an excellent choice for people who have a computer but do not have internet access or have a slow connection.
Online
Online students require a reliable internet connection. Our Student Study Zone allows you to view all of your course material online, anywhere in the world. Students can watch videos, read notes and study illustrations on the computer screen then complete self assessment quizzes to gauge their learning.
Correspondence
Course material may be supplied in a printed format. Students work through notes, practical tasks and assignments. The student is guided by a printed study guide and accompanying materials as well as advice and feedback from tutors. Assignments are submitted to tutors for grading and feedback, and exams can be taken anywhere in the world.

2. Level
II - Manual Bookkeeping
3. Level II - Computerised Bookkeeping
After successfully passing the three (3) examinations at the above levels you are entitled to apply for Associate Membership of the ICB under their new regulations and have the initial AICB after your name. Also, at this level you are then qualified to start your own bookkeeping business (if that is your goal) – in this instance you will need to apply for the ICB's Practising Certificate.

Unlimited tutor support as standard
There is much that sets ADL apart from other course providers, and all with the aim of helping you to achieve the results you want.
We assign you with your own highly qualified and experienced tutor, and encourage as much communication between you as you need. We also have a team on hand to help you with any technical queries you may have.
Contrary to what you might expect from a distance-learning course, you are encouraged to learn through practice, not just theory – first-hand experience is the best tutor! You do your assignments in your own time, but our tutors will mark them within 5 days of receiving them, and give you their feedback before you move on to the next one. In fact you can take as long as you like over your course, and you can choose whichever method you prefer.
Right from the beginning you are assigned your own personal expert tutor whom you may contact as often as you like. We encourage dialogue between you and your tutor.
Our tutors are highly qualified and experienced and provide an exceptionally high standard of tuition. They must also be active within their respective industry.
Tutors provide feedback at the end of each graded assignment. We believe this dialogue is essential for a better understanding of the topic.
Our courses are largely “experiential”. Our aim is that you learn through experience and practice, not just theory, quite unique for distance learning.
Assignments may be submitted at your own convenience. All tutors are required to mark assignments within 5 days, enabling you to move on to the next one.
With ADL, you have the opportunity to choose from 3 learning methods; online, CD or corresspondence.
If your circumstances change, that’s not a problem. If you want to delay the completion of your course, just let us know. Everybody's circumstances are different.
There are no hidden costs.The published tuition fees are all that you pay. All the necessary course material and notes are included in the tuition fees, with unlimited tutor access. The only extras that may be required are for the RHS and ICB public exams.
